Fair IsleLocation: Portland, OR • 22 Dec
It’s finally starting to feel like Christmas with all of the cold weather we’ve been getting in Atlanta.
It’s not Christmas without fair isle. While I was in Portland, I wore fair isle on fair isle for a cute look to get me in the Christmas spirit.
I went to lunch with my parents at a Vietnamese restaurant called Luc Lac Vietnamese Kitchen, which was very good–so good that the line to get in went around the block. My mom and I are going to Vietnam and a few other countries in March, so we figured we needed to start trying all of the different cuisines before we go. I had never had Vietnamese food before, and I can’t believe how much I’ve been missing out all these years. I ordered the luc lac, which is a beef dish served with rice and salad. I also tried a little bit of my dad’s pho (pronounced fa) which was really tasty as well.
After lunch we, walked around the Pearl District and found a huge Christmas tree in Jamison Square. While we were in Jamison Square, it started snowing. I was so happy I had my insulated L.L. Bean boots on along with a cozy faux fur hat (similar here and here)
If only I could have brought the snow back with me to Atlanta, so we could have a white Christmas. Sadly, it’s supposed to be around 67 degrees and sunny on Christmas.
Wishing you and your family a merry Christmas!
